Remanufactured Printer Cartridge FAQ

What is a remanufactured ink cartridge?

A remanufactured ink cartridge has been recycled and reprocessed from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) empty core. The process differs by manufacturer and materials used with varying results in quality and page yields. We constantly screen our suppliers to make sure our remanufactured cartridges are produced to stringent quality control standards to ensure consistent OEM-equivalent performance.

I heard remanufactured cartridges don't print or last as long as the OEM cartridges. Is this true?

All of our remanufactured cartridges are manufactured to meet or beat industry standard page yield for every toner and ink cartridge produced. Industry page yield is measured at a 5% page coverage at factory print standards.

I heard the quality of remanufactured cartridges isn't the same. Is this true?

There should be no difference in print quality or page yield with a properly remanufactured cartridge. Our cartridges contain only quality inks and toners and other replacement parts to meet OEM performance.  If you experience problems with either of these issues, please contact us. Each remanufactured toner and ink cartridge we sell is manufactured in ISO-9001 certified factories. Also, if you ever pick up an OEM toner cartridge and read the fine print of some manufacturers you will see it will say some of the parts used to manufacture this product may be of recycled parts.

Will using a remanufactured printer cartridge void my printer warranty?

Law prohibits manufacturers from voiding their warranty obligations on the grounds that a consumer did not use the original manufacturer's replacement printer cartridge. See the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act for more details.
